Ellen Blasing—
Lead Counselor for Middle Tennessee Group Homes, with Youth
Villages. Ellen has worked in multiple states at various levels in
the foster care world, including working with foster youth and
families, group homes, and residential programs. Ellen’s work as a
counselor has spanned from newborn babies, medically fragile
children, teen moms, juvenile sex offenders, and pretty much any
other demographic of child you can imagine. For self-care, Ellen
binge watches Criminal Minds, makes and sells handmade soaps, and
gives lots of ear scratches to her pup, Scout.
Rae Ryan– Director of Development for Youth Villages
(basically this just means fundraiser!) – covering the middle TN
region. Lifelong fundraiser for a number of worthy causes from the
Zoo to the Science Center to a MLB player’s personal foundation.
With 25 years in raising funds, the mission of Youth Villages is
definitely the most compelling cause I have ever had to “sell.”
Lifelong non-profit warrior with a deep desire to be more wealthy
in order to have the ability to be more philanthropic! So many
causes…so few funds. Self care equals: Grueling CrossFit workouts
followed by long Epsom salt soaks & wine.
